Internet & Computer slow

Hi,
Helmie here, fixing this fellows computer.

The computer is a PIII 700Mhz crapper, so its quite slow anyway, but the internet is a 2MB connection, and it is REALLY slow, so is the computer.

Im clearing out using disk cleanup right now, and Ive run hijackthis.

messenger plus is definatley on the list of things to remove. it gave me loads of crap like "surfsidekick" which made my internet impossibly slow

have you run a full system scan using Adaware and spybot??

i found this should be useful in your case:

Also, do an online scan using Panda anti-virus and post the log.

Try the trial version of kaspersky then,
update it, and run a full scan in safe mode.
Also defrag your drive and use a registry cleaner to tweak ur comp

Processor: P3 1GHz RAM: 512Mb DDR RAM Mobo: ASUS, not sure what one yet HDD: 40GB IDE GFX: nVidia FX 5500 Case: Black with window, not sure what yet PSU: Prob the one included with the case!
