Default Need new Sound card

Hey guys. I need to get a new sound card for my dad's Dell computer. Budget is about $50-75. Any suggestions?

He has 2.1 right now, probably best to have higher though. Is the Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit any good? That is in his price range, and he doesnt need high performance. Just something better than his current SB Live!.

for the money i think you can pik up something on ebay thats alot better. make sure you look there first. although the sound blaster 24 bit looks good. XD

yes that card is good. it has good sound quality for the money. i recommend getting it.

Hey guys. I think we kind of fiexed it, i reinstalled drivers, and it sounds a little better, not the best though. I will hold of on the sound card, but thanks for the help.

Yeah, I have the Audigy 2 ZS, but for my dads computer, he just wants a basic soundcard. Just for light gaming. I might try to convince him to get the 2 ZS. Thanks,

Well if he's only using it for light gaming, then i would recommend the On-board sound or the Audigy 2 Value.
