hi all,
the problem as outlined here: There's several PC in a local area network connection. One of the PCs could not be accessed from other computers in the same LAN [though the problematic PC could access other PCs on the same LAN]. The erorr message that comes out is "\\PC<> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found" The problematic PC runs on WinXP, but it ain't SP2. I have troubleshooted on ping, workgroup name, and access to Internet which all works fine. Anyone who might know what's the problem here? Help! Thanks! |

there's no firewall installed [i've looked through add/remove programs under control panel for this]. and there's no firewall pre-installed like one existing in WinXP SP2 since it's SP1 that's installed here.
access to internet's fine though. |
