How do I know if I have one?

If your referring to the computer in your SIG then i would say no. To check do to your device manager (right click on my computer > then go to the hardware tab and click device manager) in there you will see all devices installed on your system. Or you can try an ipconfig /all in the command prompt

I have an SiS 900-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter. Buts thats not a wireless card.

I am sure you know this, not only will you need the wireless nic, you will also need either 1. wireless router or access point 2. another wireless nic ( ad hoc mode) 3. a hot spot , for your wirelss nic to connect to.

you'll have little aerial on the back of your system or one attatched via a cable

From the looks of the specs, I doubt you have wifi. It's a desktop, right? It's rare they come standard with them... I know you can request them with some customized computers... It's no matter, you can find some fairly cheap wifi cards if you really want one.
