Default I'm trying to open a folder, but can't

Hi
I'm trying to open a folder with lots of photos in it, but when I finally get a respons from windows, it asks if I want to format my hard drive. I've tried to scan this HDD with 2 different data recovery programs but no luck. They both have found errors on the HDD.

Thanks
