Default Help with wireless router problemo's

I recently purchased a dlink di-634m mimo wireless router. I got the wireless card for my desktop and one for a laptop. My router sits downstairs on one side of the house while my computer is upstairs on the other side of the house. What i recently noticed is that when my home phone is turned on it disconnects my wireless internet connection. As soon as i turn teh phone back on it connects again.

It is a 2.4ghz phone, and the router is said to be also 2.4ghz. So i read up and went into settings and changed the channel and sometimes the internet disconnects but not everytime i turn the phone on. Now its not that big of a deal right now since im at school but when i come home for summer it might be a problem.

Is there any other settings that i can change or do to alleviate my problem or should i look into 5.8ghz phones.I honestly dont want to have to get a new phone system since i just bought all this stuff and this phone system isnt that old as well. If a new phone is in order any advice there would be great.

Footnotes: Sorry for teh long thread.

Buy a new phone, even if you do get it to work without dropping the connection, the phone creates significant background noise on your network effictively dropping the range. 5.8 would be the way to go.
