Talking  Memory guidance for a new guy

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145019

well im pretty set on getting a pair of these corsair 2* 1gb. xms .
but im concerned as far as what ive been reading about clock timings.how is it going to affect me if i change from one timing to another.heres my choice.it would be cool if you guys would post what you would choose as far as a 2.gb ddr400 ram.
should i be concerned if my motherboard specs say to have 2.5 v mem and i am putting somthing that takes 2.6v or is that as close as im going to get with that kind of power?
could i put sddr in a ddr motherboard or would that not work.im confused and need some advice on the whole situation.thanx
