Exclamation New spin off old product

Hey everyone. I know I'm new here, but I figured I would see what everyone thought about this new product in security. I don't work for the company that makes these nor am I trying to spam up this board. I just wanted to share some relatively new technology.
Everybody knows what CCTV is, how it works, and its many short-comings. Well this new security system works much in the same manner, but each camera has its own IP address, so whoever had access to the address and password can view what's going on in real-time from anywhere in the world.
That alone is a pretty neat feature, I think. Well, there are indoor and outdoor camera housings and the cameras can have fixed or verifocal lenses to zoom in/out. They can also pivot left to right. This is all pretty standard in the security industry though.
What I think sets this product off the most (besides the IP addresses) are the other things you can do with this. You can set certain areas in the frame to scan for motion, and if motion occurs, it will start to digitally record to a HDD that you connect it to. There can be up to 3 motion-sensitive areas per frame. Actually there are 3 settings for motion detection. The one I mentioned above is one. Another is to record when ANY motion is detected. And the last starts with motion and stops when there is no more motion.
You can also schedule snapshots with different bit rates and 5 quality settings. Roll-over points can also be set manually to save on HDD space.
Other noteworthy attributes...
-digital 'trip' such as a door opening to start recording.
-EMail notification/coverage
-Hash marks on recording to skip from one motion recording to the next
-adjustable frame per second rate
-mounting on wall, pole, recessed ceiling, etc.
PM me if you want to know more
Discuss...
I really want to know what everyone thinks about this product, because I see it as a good investment in the company, but I would appreciate others' opinions on this

it would definately be worth looking at if security is a major concern, however i would also be concerned about the inbuilt security features and how they prevent unauthorised access

like I said, each camera has its own IP addy and password (you can set additional security as well). I think this system was mainly created for bosses to be able to monitor their work environment, prevent false workman's comp cases, etc. For daycares and vets, though, they could charge their clients something like $50/month for access rights to watch their children and pets. Also for restaurants because most of restaurants' lost money comes from the bar and screwing customers out of the 'good stuff' like substituting aristocrat for grey goose, etc.

Yeah you're right. I'm pretty sure that the cameras' processor unit encrypts the signal but I'd have to check on that
