I have a big problem with my machine.
When just using Win2K for my TAFE work, it slows down to all buggery, and services.exe takes up 98% of system resources, and there is nothing there that shouldn't be. It doesn't matter what I do on the machine, it just happens. If anyone is having the same problem, or can help me, please do. Thank you very much, anything that might help would be much appreciated. Regards, Andrew.

This sounds very much like a virus,
Is the process called "Sevices.exe","service.exe" or "services.exe"? Where is the executable located? services.exe is also a process which is registered as, W32.Randex.R -> %systemroot%\system32\services.exe Sober.P -> %systemroot%\Connection Wizard\Status\services.exe Sober.S/V -> %Windir%\ConnectionStatus\Microsoft\services.exe for further diagnoses and removal instructions, head to Computer Security Last edited by Omicron; 02-28-2006 at 08:43 PM. |
