Default Whats a good temp to have?

i run an amd 3500 and i simply was wondering what temp my cpu should be at?...whats good, average, and bad?

CPU : AMD athlon 3500+ @ 2.5ghz
RAM : 1gb Mem (512 by 512mb Corsair)
CASE : Xion II (with cool blue cathode lights inside)
HDD : 120gb and 80gb...both at 7200rpm
GPU : eVGA geforce 7600GT

Well before my AMD A64 3200+ oc'd to 2.5Ghz ran around 25C idle, and 34C load.

But now its ~9C idle, but thats a different story.

Good is <40. average is <50. Bad is >50

I wouldnt say that, i'd say; Good < 35, Average <40, Could use Improvement >40, Bad >50+.

It would help first to get more details on your processor, there were many incarnations of the Athlon 64 3500+. Some with varying TDP, lower TDP means lower power consumption and hence lower heat dissipation.

Perhaps you could post a cpu-z screen shot to provide us with more info.
