Hi there. (Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm a newbie.)
A few years ago, when I signed up with an ISP, I received an Alaris QuickVideo Wee Cam. Nice little web cam right on top of my monitor. It worked great (on my old Windows 98 PC), and I made several (AVI) videos with my children. I was able to view them on that old PC using the Windows Media Player, version 7.1. However, when I copied the videos to my new (current) PC (running XP), I am unable to see the video, although I can HEAR it! The bundled player is Windows Media Player 9.0, so perhaps the new WMP version needs additional codecs? I don't know which ones though, or where to get them. I also tried to uninstall the 9.0 version, then replace it with the 7.1 version, but I'm unable to do so. Please help! Please email any response to cginca@hotmail.com Thanks very much for any advice. |
