Default Emachine D6417 Question

I just purchased a New Emachine D6417 desktop computer and I was wondering what I might do to get this thing to really fire up and get some blazing speed? Can anyone advise me what I can do to upgrade this computer . I have DSL and it goes pretty fast @ 740kbps now but my brothers is running @ almost 1100kbps with same sevrice of DSL but different computer. Here are some specs below. Please advise me what I can do. Thanks ,Cricket4462

Hard Drive! - 80GB

Memory! - 256MB RAM

if you want to increase your internet speeds, assuming they can go higher than what they are now, get a pci card with ethernet jacks. I would suggest looking into getting at least 512mb of ram though, preferrably more

Thanks Suprasteve, I had gotten a hold of technical support for Emachine and they said to uprade my computer with the most memeory for my computer which are 2 more sticks of ram which they are sending me for $51.00 a piece.....I am assuming it to be more than 512mb of ram after all said and done. They told me to hold onto my macine when all said an done . She might be smokin tires!

Thanks again , Cricket4462
