The router which the computer is connected to (or switch) will have a way of forwarding ports. For Remote Desktop Connection it id 3389. Forward port 3389 to the local ip 192.0.1.123.
Or you could use the free version of
www.logmein.com Very easy to use, setup... No port forwarding etc.
