Default How to reinstall windows

Just got a new mobo ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe

and i want to use my old WD 80 gb hard drive with it. i have heard that u have to reinstall windows when you upgrade a major component like a mobo. i have the windows disk and i just need somebody to tell me how to reinstall it without screwing up all of my data!!!

Use a repair, NOT using the text based option. Boot from teh setup CD, then hit enter to install. Setup will look for a preexisting copy of Windows, and when it finds it it will ask if you would like to repair it. Choose that option, and your files (besides system ones) will not be touched.
