START - RUN
type "dxdiag"
press enter

There you'll find a Display tab.

If you right click on the desktop, click properties, settings, advanced, then adapter. It should be listed on top.You might have a built in,or an add on card. One way to tell,is to look where the monitor cord goes into the computer.Add on cards are the ones in the expansion slots. That way you won't be looking for a card that you can't buy!Hope this helps!Thank You!
