Default PCIe Cooler

Symptoms: Random resets while playing graphically intense games
Temporary Solution: Underclocked Graphics card in Riva Tuner (works great)
Hypothesis: Heat. I think that it is cutting out because it gets too hot.

I was thinking about getting the ARCTIC COOLING AVC-NV5R3 NV Silencer Rev.3, but I was worried about SLI problems.
Here is my mobo:

Will it work??

Also I have heard things about this thing called the Accelero X1 by artic cooling. When is that supposed to come out? I googled it and people said that it was supposed to be released on feb 6 2006, it march!!

i read somewhere it sopose to come out end of february. but like you said i cant find any store with it. its wierd. on Arctic's site it says its for sale but has no retailers for it.

you might want to measure the distance inbetween the two cards and then compare it to the hieght of the Silencer Rev 3 too see how much of a clearance you'd have, if any.

yea i have a silencer... it depends on the board, pretty much just measure how big the SLI bridge is, and then theres like a measurement sheet on the arctic cooling website... mine has like 2-3cm clearance, that is between the end of the fan because it has a little point tip on the fan... i duno my ECS has plenty of room really. i don't see why yours wouldn't.
also check your video drivers, reinstall them and the game... if that doesn't work it might be heat... or just a bad card. did you o/c (proc or gpu)?

EDIT: my temps dropped about 2-3C idle and 7-10C load when i got the NV SILENCER (depending on the temps in my room)

I was just wondering how much of a pain is the silencer to install? I have a 6800gt that gets a little hot at load and was thinking about the silencer. Not much different then putting a new heatsink and fan on a chip as far as pain level goes?

Its VERY easy to install, just pop two clips on the bottom of the old cooler, then screw on the AC Cooler.
