Default Windows XP Pro/reformatting

hello. i would like to reformat my hard drive. i'm wondering whether i should go out and get Windows XP Pro Oem or use this disc i have. the disc isn't an OEM disc. it's more of a restore disk. it's also service pack one. should i use the restore disk or spend the money and get the OEM? thanks.
