Default Noob question concerning my computer

Im pretty much a laymen when it comes to computers these days. Im so far out of the loop that I dont even attempt to get into it. With that said, Im just wondering how my computer fairs concerning why I have one.

I basically use my PC for video editing, My music library, A little bit of gaming and just general purpose stuff. Nothing hi-speed. My specs are:
AMD Athlon XP
Spacewalker AK32 MB
160GB & 200GB HDs
GeForce 550 video card
SB Audigy 2 Sound Card
512 MB Ram

For the above mentioned, Is my PC decent enough?

I was under the impression that the CPU I have is a 2600, Or 2.66 Ghz Is that true or is it actually slower?
Thanx

It's getting a bit old, but as long as it works and does what all you want it to, there's nothing wrong with it.

I don't recall the speed of the XP 2600 right off, but they usally are a bit slower than the PR rating. I mean my Laptop(Sempron 2800) is only a 1.6GHz.

Oh, and his video card, he probably meant a 5500

My main concern is the MB. Its a bit older than all the other components. I was just wondering if I need a newer one, Or if that particular one allows the processor to operate at its peak.

I agree with the other one...it IS getting a bit old. But, i mean, it's not that far off, and as long as your not complaining too much about it, and you dont feel the need to change it...your fine!
