Default CPU usage monitor?

I was looking through the "post your desktops" thread and saw some people had a panel on the side of their window, almost a part of their desktop that showed how much RAM and CPU usage they were using. It also showed CPU temp. Where can I get something to show this and which is the best one to get?

well for the cpu temp, your probably referring to "speedfan", which monitors your computers temps and displays them in the taskbar.
