If you have 5500 to spend, definately invest in a MB that supports SLI mode or Crossfire. If you don't know what those are I'll explain. Basically SLI is for nVidia, and Crossfire is for ATI. This allows you to run dual video cards, so each video card works on half the monitor so to speak. This allows very clean graphics because the video card is putting all its power into half the amount of work that needs to get done. All it really depends on is if you like nVidia or ATI better, or if you already have a video card that can be used in either SLI or Crossfire, then I'd say just stick with that (since vid cards can be expensive) and just inveset in a 2nd video card (the same one) and a MB that supports both.
