Default What exactly is a keylogger, and whats a good FREE program to get rid of it?

Hi, i realize its spyware, but im unsure of the exact risk..... anyways, i downloaded this file and later found out from a friend that it had a keylogger, so now i obviously want to get rid of it. How do i go about doing this? Preferably a free program, reliable, and with absolutely no spyware attached......what do i use? thanks

It's a program that basically records your keystrokes, which can be very dangerous if you're typing in passwords or credit card numbers etc...

Try Spybot S&D and/or Adaware (basically follow the instructions in Basic Malware Removal) . If you don't have any luck removing it that way, post a Hijack This log.
