Before you drive yourself crazy remove the memory and re-seat it (Put it back in). Try it. If the problem persists and you have more then one memory chip remove one chip and a time and try it. Try to isolate it to the bad chip or solt. If you get it up and running on one chip you should be able to finish your file transfer. Then if you plan on keeping the PC take the bad chip to the local electronics store toss it on the counter and say, "Give me another one of these."
