Default Good large monitor?

So, I still have the old CRT and what not. I want to get a nice large Flat Screen. I am looking at these now:

Dell 30":http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=19&l=en&s=dhs

Dell 24":http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/P...ctlisting.aspx

Here's the only problem lol. The 30" is $2,200, and the 24" is $800. Is there anything like this, but cheaper? I'm looking for something cheap, but a good brand, and a large screen.

as far as i know the dell 24" uncuts all of the competition with regards to price. apple make an equivalent monitor that uses the same panel in its construction and its more expensive

definitly go with the 24. its 800 dollars and its gotten amazing reviews from what i have read. the 30 inch is a bit overpriced.

It can be a little smaller I guess. Just something nice and large for cheap.

you can save even more money and get the 20.1''. i think the 24'' is a little overkill and the 20.1'' works just fine for me and is big enough.
