Default Help me with my LAN please

Hi All,

Recently I refurbished an old PC to run XP Professional like this one (put some new hardware in too etc.)

Now I want to connect them through a LAN. (They both connect to the internet through a router)

I have set it up but it's just weird, sometimes one computer will pick up the other one but refuses to connect says I may not have the correct privaleges, or they wont pick each other up at all.

What is going on?

Thanks.
Hellbreather.

No, both are running Windows XP.

It's so stupid it should be able to allow me to access it.
