Ok ok, if that is true, which from my knowledge i think it kinda is, then yes Microsoft along with game evelopers will no longer add support for anything under DX10 cards.... Of course this is only on newly released games after MS releases DX10.... So yes, if you
can wait then do wait until DX10, but even then you might find it hard to afford a DX10 card, if they are really new.
Me, im still on DX8 on my crappy little FX5200. Does me well enough. But it all boils down to what you are planning to do, are you only buying FEAR and a few other recent games, or are you planning on becoming a gamer and buying every single new release for the next 15 years??? if the latter then i would wait (or buy a mid-range card to tide you over until DX10)
