Default Ram help

so im thinking of getting two gigs because you can get a better deal on the ram and its really not that much more to get 2 then 1. now im trying to decide on what ram to get. theres http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...C-pr1c3grabb3r which has better timing but lower clock speed. and then theres http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...C-pr1c3grabb3r which has timing speed but higher clock speed. now im using asrock dual sata2 board and it only uses ddr400. can it still handle ddr500?

higher clock speed is more critical than cas timing.

if your mobo "only uses" ddr400, then why would it support ddr500?

you need to do some research before buying anything,
check out www.crucial.com and your mobo's manufacturer.
