Default IDE or SATA?

Which do you prefer? I've had problems with my SATA drives, 2 of my SATA drives have failed on me, not to mention that it restricts OC'in on some motherboards. Im sticking with IDE.

it sounds like you answered your own question. But, my preference is SATA because it allows better airflow in the box because the cable is so small in comparison to IDE (less restrictive)

I wasnt really asking you to help me out, i was asking more on the lines of what the average user prefers.

Thats a dangerously broad (and incorrect) statement.

Id argue SATA cables are harder to fold (which is why i didnt bother folding)

Maybe its not a problem with the sata drives, but the installation. Try reading some notes.
