Default Firefox problem

i use firefox in school but not so long ago the administrator disabled it, you get "windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. for more information, open event viewer or contact you system adminstrator." renaming it doesnt work. anyone knows how it works and knows when firefox is ran and how can u bypass it, i would greatly apreciate if you would help, thanks

There is a better and legal way to approach this situation. Instead of trying to bypass the restriction, speak with a teacher, counselor or principal/vice principal and tell them that you believe firefox is a safer way to browse the internet and would like the administrator of the school network to un-block firefox from running on the school computers.

Why do you want to use firefox over the existing web browser (which I assume is IE)?

If the reason is safety and admin believes firefox is no more or less safe than any other browser, why should you care?

If the reason is because you "like the firefox" layout better.... I think you need to realize that you are on someone else’s machine and the rules they have set up are to safeguard against students misusing the machines. And, this forum and its members will in no way help you skirt around your school's computer policies.
