ok i have 1GB(2 x 512) of corsair vaule ram and a MSI motherboard. i started by putting the ram in the both the green slots but i only regestered 512 ram so now I have the ram in the first green slot and first purple slot and it says there 1024 ram which is correct. So here is my question is it in dual channel now or is that something i have to make it do and if its the later then how do i do that.

he has a socket 939 that means his board and chip support dual channel. 939 socket processors have dual memory controllers, that's why
. use CPU-Z to read whether its in dual channel or not.. i'd guess that it is though. (since in the other slot it wouldn't read the extra stick)
