I need to create a form to send by email for my organization's volunteers to fill out and return by email. I have a form created in Word but it always opens up in Design mode. How can I get this form to open up so it is ready to fill out?

You need to protect it for form feilds.
I did exactly waht you're talking about and it works best if you make it a template and protect it. If you saved the form you made as a template instead of a word document. Before you save it, you need to make sure you go to Tools> Protect Document... A side menu will appear on the right and you will see a box to check in section 2, once checked will activate a drop down menu and in the list you select filling in forms. Once the protection has been activated save it and send it. When it asks for a password you can leave it blank if you want. This will allow your co-workers to fill the form and save the information. NOTE: My instructions are based off Office 2003 and because of the differences in versions am not sure if they will cross backwards to xp or 2000. If you need any more help feel free to PM me and I'll get you what you need.
