Thank God I found this web site!!!
I don't know why I didn't seek out something like this earlier.

Quick profile: I am by far NOT very computer saavy. Nuf said.

My equipment: Sharp Actius, 2.2 P4, XP home, Norton 2005, Adwar 6.0.

My problem: I got a bug that took over my wall paper with some sort of link to an adware removal program. My computer would not restore. IE home page kept going to that "cool search" (BTW, I just installed Firefox) I am also getting a message when I try to open AOL that I need to reistall it.

I restored to a point that I knew was good using safe mode. But when I attempt restore to any other point in regular mode, it is unsuccessful.

Can some one please help me fix this. If I fix it, I'll be using a ten pound sledge hammer on this computer.
