Default Some help with CCleaner please....

Hi, i recently downloaded this program, and i realize its quite popular.... my question is, is it's registry cleaner completely safe? do i run any risk of messing anything up? And i see things it brings up such as unused file extensions....does this mean i will never b able to use those extensions?? I'm confused as to what exactly a registry cleaner does....and what can the negative affects be.... thanks... should i trust ccleaner?

Please try to post only once next time... I normally jump on people for this but I see it was under the same forum

Anyway, I've never had a problem cleaning my registery with CCleaner. I always make a backup so not much could go wronge. I think one time, I might of run into some minor problem, but I just ran the backup, and it was all fixed.

My advice, run the scan weekly and just overwrite the old backup. That's how I do things. Within a week, you should notice if anything's acting up.

Dont use unneeded program or hardware, and dont try to have viruses on ur PC, and then ur registry will be cleaned without any 3rd-party program.
