you didn't get MY piont. There is never enough RAM! RAM is used to store data to be processed into information/instructions, and if you have a lot of instructions, like some for graphics, some for editing, some for other stuff, then if you have a tremendious amount of RAM then the RAM wouldn't have to send some of the stuff getting ready to be processed to the HDD, and back again which will take a while. Its true that there may be so much to process the CPU would hold the time back, but some things are easier to process than others
EDIT: my previous explenation was to show that 2gb won't be overkill in a year or 2, even if you say it will, windows will find something to hog it.
EDIT2: i just realized thats what physical processing units do, they add more video RAM and processing power becuase graphics is increasing slightly faster than processing, but that will probably change when core dou 2 comes out.
