Angry FEAR Problems After Patch

Hey guys.

I recently borrowed FEAR from my buddy, and I'm in love with it

I went through most of the game and then started over to actually listen to the storyline instead of just blowing guys away in SloMo

Before I started the game over, I downloaded the latest patch (not sure about the name) and played a little online. Once I was finished playing online I started the missions over. After about 5 minutes of playing I began to notice streaks of "planes" and smoke with horizontal lines.

Now I'm not completely sure if these are artifacts or just problems with the latest patch(I was playing on my computer for about 7-8 hours and I only have 1 80mm intake fan, but it has never heated up on me before). If anyone else is experiencing these problems please post here.

Also, something you guys should know is that my GPU has been acting up. I have a 6600GT and a PSU with 17A on the 12V rail. However, I'm using a molex connector to power it. Lately it has been telling me that I don't have enough power for the GPU, so I switched it with another molex connector on the same line! Nothing else is even plugged in on this line!
