Compaq Presario V2310CA-beeping sound

Laptop emits a long beep after it's turned on and Windows XP has loaded. No error messages occur and I don't see anything wrong with the laptop, it runs fine. What do you think is causing the beep? Thanks!

Has it been dropped? It could be that one of the memory sticks or wireless card may have dislodged. Is it popping up with any errors? and does it happen at all times when turned on?

The laptop has been dropped once. No error messages pop up. The beeping sound occurs frequently, but not at all times when turning on the laptop.

Are there any other suggestions that might be the cause for the beeping sound? Just wanna make sure, before I take it to a computer tech. Thanks!
