SATA II

HI

I have an ASUS P4P800 Mobo, which takes SATA Hard Drives.

Question - Can I use a SATA II hard drive on this board, as I will eventually be upgrading the board and don't want to be stuck with old technology hard drives when I do?

I am basically asking, can you use SATA II HDD's on SATA Mobos?

yes, sata 2 is backwards compatible, but it will obviously only run at sata 1 speeds
