That's because you don't know what you're doing. I use IE all the time, even for porn sites, and I never have a problem at all.

Note that I don't have any virus protection during the browsing, not that I can't afford it, I just don't want it and I don't want to pay to get to "uninfectable" website area, on second thought, why am I even discusing about going on porn sites, wasn't on them like a year now.

Same thing with me filip, there are certain sites that if you go to with IE, you get loads of pop-ups and things start downloading on your computer, but with firefox you dont get any of those things.

As a web developer myself, i can say that IE is actually needed by web dev's, as if every other browser out there, if you think differently you arent a very good developer... You can build a site in 10mins that looks great in IE but is totally screwed in FF, Opera, Netscape and Safari. To be a good web dev you need to design your project around the specifications and needs of EVERY browser out there

Yes, although lately thos stupid popups for smiley's, you know the ones that have audio when you roll your mouse over them, they keep getting through FF's popup blocker, sodding annoying that is.

I don't think thats how he meant it, IE many times does not show things the rigght way when other browsers do. Certain things IE doesn't magane correctly even though its "standered" and coded properly. I have only run into it a situation like it once, but i have heard people say it before me.

IE can be picky about certain things, now I would agree if dont get your site working with IE then your a bad devoloper but I don't think thats the way he meant it, could be wrong though. FF also has a few usfull tools for devolopers too...

Actually, it is the opposite. They always display correctly in IE, because IE is the standard and most, if not all, developers code for IE (and it's sooo easy coding for IE).

Then you go to look at it in Firefox and it's all screwed up. That used to make me soooo mad when I was developing sites.

So you know how to use it. Good for you. Try programming for it. Wait. You can't. You just said so.

It is a pain in the neck coding for Firefox. It's not impossible. I pulled it off, but as a result I hate that piece of crap program. It's garbage. If it wasn't a business site I was coding for I would have just given the good old one finger salute to any Firefox user, but unfortunately I couldn't do that if I wanted their business... They might use a piece of crap program but I wanted them to buy from me.. lol
