Default Linux question

do any of the linux distros have a 1280x1024 resolution... so far i have tried, slax, ubuntu, and suse
and all of them only went up to a 1024x768 resolution...
o like bigger resolutions...
so are there any that support 1280x1024 resolution?

I wouldn't blaim it on the distros you're trying. It seems you aren't configuring X properly. I'll get you started: http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&lr...+x&btnG=Search .

Any linux distribution can support higher resolutions - the only limit is with your graphics/card or monitor. I know Suse and Ubuntu have card db's with higher res X settings. Slack i think you need to edit by hand, but it will still work.
