looking for one in the $150 range im going from a AMD athlon 2400+ and it needs to be 939compatable im a big gamer doesnt have to be hardcore just something that i will notice a difference.

Um... where on earth did you find a Athlon 64 2400? They didn't even make those, I don't beleive. I'm quite sure the 2800 is as low as they go, and that might just be 754...
Anyway, newegg has about 3 different versions of the A64 3000 for under $150. Take your pick

does the processor effect frames at all i have a 6800ultra and 1gig of ram but that crapy processor, could this be the reason?
oh and the answer to your ? about the 2400 i am getting a new MB too thats why i said 939, my current one is a 754 |

![]() read the posts! lol yea a 3200+ will definitely be a huge increase in performance... probably a difference of like 15-40fps lol depends on the game.
