hi
this is my 1st post and i didnt know what section to place it in so i hope this will be ok. i have a router ADSL MR4C/UK Mentor and i run a small web server but when people try to connect to it they get my login screen to my router? i do have a small booklet with it but it realy tells you nothing at all. can anyone help plz thank you |

Um...routers are networking so this should, quite obviously, be in the networking section
![]() With cable, you just need to open up port 80 for your computer's IP, and you're basically good to go... However, with DSL's more dynamic IP, I beleive there are more problems. I've never tried to setup a web server using DSL but I've heard from some more unreliable sources it's not possible.

i wasnt sure which section it should have gone into, i just took a wild guess. btw yesterday i was using a ADSL modem and the site was running fine but for some reason the connection kept dropping so i changed to a router. but thanks for letting me know where it should be posted
