USB-Phone and Modem Sound

After attaching a USB-phone with my pc,(windows xp sp2) the modem sound goes through USB-phone instead of speaker. In the Sound and Audio Devices properties, default device is set for sound playback is SigmaTelAudio (not USB-Phone). All other audio sound comes through the speaker. Is it possible to hear modem sound on speaker without removing the USB-phone? Thank you.
