Default sound card question

i have a 4.1 sound card, is it possible to use a splitter or such like to have 5.1 speaker system on it? thanks

They dont have such a thing. You can use 5.1 speakers with it, but it wont be true 5.1 surround sound.

it has 4 ports "front, rear, mic, line in" how do you get a center speaker on it?

you cant, the 4.1 card doesnt support a seperate channel for the center speaker.

use a headphone splitter maybe and connect them all then maybe

You can get 5.1 speakers that can plug to 4.1. Like my Creative speakers have something called CMSS, and it processes the bass and the center on the woofer base of the system with those two plugs.
