Default making daul core processors run in 1 core mode?

I'm having a lot of problems with my games since updating to a amd athlon 64 x2 processor, of course the problems such as disappearing weapons, grenades in call of duty 1 and nasty sound glitches in serious sam 2 all stem from the dual core processor and iv heard that a solution is to make it run in 1 core mode....but how do i do that?

1. I personally dont think thats the problem, I think its a driver issue

2. I would look into the BIOS, im pretty sure thats where it can be located. or in the task manager, i havent tried.

In BIOS it should have an option to enable or disable it, but it really depends on the motherboard.

Well i heard that some people are able to turn it on/off. You can also enable or disable HT in the BIOS.

sounds more like video card or software issues.

I also don't think thats the problem but to make it run on one core when you start the game \ app. just go to the task manager --> Processes --> right click on the game \ app and go to set affinity and set the affinity to core 1 or 0 and it will only run on that core.
