Default Cars computer > Laptop

Im going to be getting a laptop soon, and i was wondering if its possible to hook it up to my cars onboard computer. I know it has a connection under the dash for a code reader, but is it possible to get some sort of conversion kit so i can see the rpm's, a/f ratio, speed, ect?

I know there definitly is, I have seen it done before.

If you have any custom car audio or video upgrade places around your town, i would go there and ask what you need. Then go online and buy it because its probably cheaper.

this is pretty easy. the car is controled by a computer such as chips controling the speed. so the chips wont let you go faster then maybe 130Miles per hour but the car could do 140 if the chips werent there. theres lots of things controled by a computer in your car. unless its realy old.
just a few wires that need to be leaded into your laptop. (make sure they also stay in original places too)
