i want to know how to connect 2 pc's to game, and get the pc's to actully see eachother, games like starcraft and aoe and stuff and other random ones
i can use usb, phone line, serail port and paralel port, idk if i have usb usb cord but i can praabally buy one, can it be done with a serail port or parralel port? how do i get the pc's to see eachother and work? thank yous.

You can go through an ethernet cable connected directly to both of them, or thru a modem. I dont know about wireless connecting but I dont think it should be a problem if you are on the same network.

For the computers to see each other, often firewall settings have to be changed. You're talking about a direct cable connection, the Home Networking Wizard should be able to take you through most of it.
For games themselves, usually if one person sets up a server, it is visible to the other computers on the network for them to join. |
