What is your OS ? XP HOME, XP PROF ?

click start, then run
type sysdm.cpl , hit enter
click the tab computer name
click the change tab near the bottom
on the workgroup , make sure that is selected , both PC's need to have the same workgroup name.
then click start / run ,,, type ncpa.cpl press enter
right click your network connection, click properties
highlight tcp/ip click properties, make sure that obtain ip auto is selected
are you using dhcp on your router ?

some firewalls you have to configure. some you do not.
I am sure that if flush01 enables the firewall and configures it correctly it will pass his network.
