Default Can't watch dvd films directly from combo!

I have installed WinXP prof. SP2. K8 motherboard, AMD 1.7GHz processor, AtiRadeon 9250 128MB, 128 bit VGA, 512MB RAM. I have recently got an LG combo. My problem is:
I can't watch dvd films directly from Combo ( because it plays slowly with breaks), but if I copy dvd films into my HDD I can watch it with no problems.
Can You tell me why can't I watch dvd films directly from Combo?

Thank you

What are the specs of your drive? Also, check all the cables are in tight.

Take the drive out of the computer, there will be everything you need to know on the top of the drive.
