Windows XP Pro Corp
Windows XP Pro OEM Windows XP Pro Retail Windows XP Pro Upgrade ok, i know the difference beetween the OEM version and the Upgrade... the upgrade is for people who already have a previous version of windows and wish to upgrade, OEM for people who are reformatting the drive and installing it... but wut is Corp and Retail??? i was pretty sure that retail can be used to upgrade and to do a fresh install... but i have no clue what Corp is???? what is Corp? |

Corp = Corporate - business oriented (for companies)
Retail - boxed version in the shops Corporate Windows XP Pro is bought by companies with multiple licenses giving them the right to install as many copies as they paid for. The retail version is what you would see in a shop in that fancy box. JAN ![]()

As far as I know, the only difference is in the licensing but not in the resources being used nor the poerformance.

they are all identical once installed, it's just that the corporate does NOT require activation, whereas all others do
