well, im not sure what the problem was earlier... but i was finally able to o/c to 2.64ghz rather than just 2.4ghz, which i could do without overvolting at all.
i thought it was the motherboard... or the psu. replaced neither and i got it to o/c. i don't know what happened, but i think im going to replace the psu anyways. yay 2.64ghz is a good o/c

actually i believe 40mhz is either as good as or better than the extra cache that the fx-60 features. if not, then its still a really good processor lol
its at 1.45V nice and cool

yea but thats single core and much cooler... plus you're going from 2.4ghz, im going from 2ghz. theyre sold at those frequencies for a reason.
