Default Cheap but good sound card

So yeah...I need a ^^ for my computer. Integrated audio is all fuzzy, and I want to take some load off of the rest and use a sound card. Price range: 25-40$, over is OK but not too much.

Edit: 2.1 Creative speakers.

Audigy SE maybe? or Audigy 2 Value for a bit more? I picked up an Audigy 2 ZS for $42 in december on sale, if you're not on a timeline it might go on sale again

For the SE: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102003 look good? I'll keep looking for a cheap Audigy 2.

the SE is only a step above a good integrated, but it's still a step up. Have you tried reinstalling your onboard drivers?

Yep. Main reason I want to get one is to get better FPS in Oblivion, but I also want better sound.

it's not really gonna increase fps by that much. You're much better off getting new graphics card or more ram. What's your system specs?

I should probably put those back in my sig. Specs are nvidia 6800 GTO, 1gb DDR2 533 RAM, P4 3.2ghz processor, 320w PSU. I know the CPU isn't the best for gaming, neither is the GPU for what I want to do, but I just don't have the $ to upgrade those yet. I am ordering a mobo, PSU, Case, OS in april or may. I will upgrade RAM later in the summer and may buy a 7800 or 7900 off ebay.
